the guy at TEDDY BOY said, "take as many buttons as you want!" so i took one with the hollow cut silhouette and i'm adoring it! with the edwardian clothes wearing british teddy boys in the 50s as muses, this store on allen street is one of my faves - exposed brick walls and plank floor, vintage leather oxfords and used work boots, shelves lined with vintage ephemera like worn-out suitcases and antique camera, and lots of black-and-white photos of fifties-era Teddy Boys chain-smoking cigarettes in slicked-back greaser hair everywhere, simply WE COULD GROW UP TOGETHER

went to the STEVEN ALAN sample sale, where preppy dads were trying on shirts and pants between racks of clothes, and bought this lovely red plaid shirt from the girls pile. one of the interns there was so nice to find me xs stuffs from the mens rack, too bad i didn't take any of them. and then a buyer there, working at the cashier that day, just to help out, was from hong kong! she my people

owlish round glasses

this morning, I woke up thinking i should go get some round glasses, so i headed to two of my most beloved optics in the city, FACIAL INDEX ( all designed and hand crafted in japan, esquisite design and colors ) and SELIMA OPTIQUE ( the last time i was in the soho store was 12 frigging years ago, and i got carried away by trying on all those glasses, i forgot to feed my tamogotchi and it died that day, lol ), and these are the 3 finalists. guess which one would still be in the running become america's next top model, hrm, i mean the pair i bought.
