i was doing spring cleaning and came across this little flip book i made with pictures of models backstage and lots of tape. those 4x6 pictures were taken in the time when i used to go to paris fashion week. those were the days when there was no internet and dinosaurs were flying in the skies roaring. back then vladimir restoin was still a tween (look at him in the 3rd picture) , so was ryan curry, and christopher niguet was not a fashion editor or walking his dog in nolita yet. i was lying on the carpet reading it just like the way bastian balthazar bux reads the neverending story book in the attic, cutting class. now sing with me people, "neverending story, ahhh ahhh ahhh ... "
stories like E.T, son of rambow, the neverending story get me all time. and now, WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. originally a children's book by maurice sendak, about the imaginary adventures of a young boy named max. now spike jonze is directing the film version. all those dreams, all those childlike sense of wonder, all so golden. yes, its the adventure and hope. the sense of belonging. the moment that u feel u belong. nothing else. the official trailer made me cry big time already. i just want fall to come sooner
love belts. i work my outfit around my belt at times, but get frustrated sometimes. not with this ribbon belt by ralph lauren purple though. this one i got oh so many years ago at bloomingdale's ralph lauren. the sales clerk was a dandy grandpa who knew his shit. those who has shopped there must know who am i talking about.
